Writing Update

It was hoped that colder weather would allow for more time to write. There was a recent bug hatch this weekend - gnats and mosquitoes are thriving in this never ending Indian Summer. As such, work outside has kept me from the work inside!

Cooler weather is coming! If not winter. Yet.

That said, progress has been made. There are two stories in my 'mostly written' column and more than a few in my 'actively writing' column. This includes another commission by Mike Lee and a part 2 to the very popular Bitches in Heat!

Hucow Story Review: Mega Milk

This is an oldie but goodie: Mega Milk by The Dark Trianni.

It's really the best and worst of hucow erotica all rolled into one. I say that in the most endearing way, as this is one of my fallback stories when I'm looking for flow meter. This story has heat - lots of it. Too much of it. Way too much over the top of it. The growth is entirely way too much over the top and it absolutely doesn't matter. Realism isn't at all what this story is about. It's about heat. And it's got plenty of that.
However, be warned dear reader, this story does have some additional squick to it: incest. Son/mom/aunt. Be warned there - other than that - enjoy the absurdity!

Searching the web for all things Hucow Erotica, it was nice to find a good compilation of reviews by one 'Ninja Turtle' on the Tumblr blog Erotic Story Reviews. Hucow Story Review: Cow Programming

Wow! I found an author I can really get into! Cow Programming is straight to the point moral and physical degradation from the previously mighty!
Ashley Bennett does a good job of keeping that theme and running with it through most of her stories while still keeping each individual story fresh in its own way. Also, an honorable mention needs to go out to Service Girls, because let's face it, mind control is a fetish that goes hand in hand with hucows!

Hucow Author Review: Madison Laine

So I figured I'd try and put this out there a little differently than normal. Why? Well, I can't say I'm a big fan of any of Madison Laine's stories in particular. However, she is a much more prolific writer than myself - and she does a steady job of keeping in the genre.
That being said, she isn't my favorite - or even top ten out there. But she writes a lot. Stories are pretty consistent - and good if you're in the mood for doctors as that is a pretty common theme with her writing as well.
Her stories are short - but there's yet to be a bundle by her yet.
If you can - it may be well worth it to wait for the bundle.

Hucow Story Review: Herd Instinct

So apologies for those who don't like the formant, but Herd Instinct by Tabico is where I set my bar. One of Tabico's specialties is 'squick' so be warned as you browse some of the stories. Also, for those of you who have never had the pleasure, welcome to the realm of The Erotic Mind-Control Story Archive. You can find some of my own stories there in their earliest versions as well.

But back to Tabico. No joke, excellent writer. Nearly everything is gold, and hopefully one day I will have the capacity to write in such a captivating way! And Herd Instinct... well, that was the story that introduced me to hucows and it was this site that introduced me into erotica at all.
Herd Instinct is a rare hucow story that goes through the entire transformation. Capture, conversion, life as a hucow, return to the real world. It is gripping. Again, be warned there is squick - incest specifically in this one, but that's not until the later chapters.
Do yourself a favor and check it out. Honestly, one of the best hucow stories out there. While you're at it, be sure to check out Tabico's Yellow, another great story - but in the fantasy realm of Greyhawk.

Hucow Story Review: Amber the Hucow

Selena Black looks to be an abandoned pen name. There are other works by the same publisher though, so you can dig into some more of their writing if it suits your style of reading like it does mine.

Or at least, Amber the Hucow did at the very least. It's a short jaunt of Amber's decent into cowhood. She goes pretty quick. Honestly, the biggest complaint I have is in the formatting - everything is centered.

Mad Max Hucow Scene

Welcome back from the holiday weekend, dear readers. Normally this is one that is rather slow on my blog and writing side of things. But not this year!

Normally I'm not into reading first person. At least not in erotica. The author has to be really good, or the kink has to be really good. Sometimes a compromise between the two. Penelope Stone's only book so far on Smashwords is one of those.

Book recommendation: My Cowpoke and Me

Ruby Noire's books are not cheap.  $9 is the usual going rate (she may be in Austrailia, I don't know - taxes are high and an author has to make a living - I know I try).  However, her My Cowpoke and Me is a great, almost romantic take on hucows.  It's been through a few cover changes since it came out - but don't let the pc cover fool you - there is plenty of heat!

Saturday Hucow Story Review.

So I've gotten some good feedback - and while I can't guarantee posting everyday, I'll at the very least aim for once a week hucow story reviews.

The Farm by Attero is a great 'soft' work by the author.  I say that because Attero can get pretty dark and grisly relatively quickly.  Not so for The Farm.  It's enough to keep you on edge without pushing you overboard.
Worth the price, well worth the read.
